Mohamed Salah Offers Apology to Teammates, Says Curtis Jones
Jones has shared that the Egyptian forward said sorry to the group of players following the uproar from his public comments.

He was omitted from a European match following criticising the club and suggesting his connection to the head coach had soured.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”
The head coach has previously declined to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the veteran striker.
Team Unity
Jones insisted that the dressing room atmosphere remained positive. “Nothing about him changed, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” he continued.
He also suggested that a competitor wanting to play is preferable. “It's clear there are different methods you can handle situations,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”
Team Form
The team's performance have remained strong in the period after the initial controversy. Jones believes the forward's comments were not intended to harm the team.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, the source has been from a place of caring,” Jones concluded. “We’re past that now and we’re uniting strongly, playing well and starting to win games.”
